Warnings:

The party went on, with the beast's head on display. A proud, twisted thing. Behind false ruby eyes, it waited. And as the music became slower and the wine less plentiful, it waited still.

Those who had gazed upon it at the ball. Those who had seen it once living in the forest. All heroes who dared to look upon its face and dream still that they would be able to live another day...

There are all sorts of ways of living. In waking. In sleep. Perhaps, now, they would find one in between.

(ooc: Feel free to keep tagging into the party post! Once your characters go home and go to sleep of their own accord, that is when the dreaming will begin. Remember, it is up to you to set up what kind of world your character is trapped in and how best to help them. Plotting post is here, make use of it!

The beast's power will wane once the bulk of the dreamers have escaped his curse. If your character was not at the party but you still want to involve them in the dream plot, that is fine! They can either help get people out or have seen the beast wandering in the woods before it was killed and have caught its attention that way.

Helios finds himself in a hallway looking around curiously and he can't help but start forward looking down the hall and making his way towards somewhere he doesn't know. He hears voices coming from a lounge so that's where he'll head first. His movements shaky, stunted, but he's drive by curiosity all the same.

"H-Hello?"

Bakura appears in the doorway, looking out into the hall at the call. "Hey! You came! Good timing, I just finished up the anpan, want to try one?"

Helios blinks startling in his looking around and then smiling at the offer. "Oh! Ah. C-Certainly. I'd love to try one! Anpan...that's a japanese sweet roll isn't it?" Helios is the connoisseur of sweets there is no sweet he has tried!

"Un!" Bakura nodded, "Sweet bread with anko-- aah--red bean paste in it," he explained, ducking back into the lounge and heading for the restaurant worthy kitchen in it. The entire lounge seemed to be an exercise in excess, made from having gutted out two large apartments, one wall was completely taken up by a giant aquarium that housed a shark, an impossibly large flat screen TV dwarfed the couches set up in worship around it, and the opposite side was an arcade, stuffed with an impressive amount of games, video and otherwise.

With a very comfortable motion, Bakura sat down on one side of the kitchen counter where the plate of fresh buns rested. "They might be a little warm inside still, so be careful when you bite in," he smiled, picking on up and taking a careful nibble.

Helios takes in his surroundings with awe. He's seen apartments and rather wealthy mythica inhabits living in them but this was quite impressive, nothing he's ever seen before. He'll peer into the shark tank moving away slightly startled when it swims by him. He composes himself enough to let out a small laugh as he follows Bakura into the kitchen.

"This is a lovely place you have." He takes a seat then taking one of those anpan and biting into it. Oh. Helios makes a pleased noise, his expression one of happiness. "These are delicious!"

"It's Hiruma-kun's place," Bakura corrected with a smile, looking bashfully pleased at the praise of his cooking. "And it really is pretty impressive! Hiruma-kun really doesn't do anything in halves. He knocked out two apartments to build this!"

"Hiruma...a friend of yours then? Ah, well, it's very nice what he's done with the place. N-Not that I can say much l-living in a castle and all." Helios laughs sheepishly at the admittance. He is certainly no interior designer, not at all!

"Did you help him? With, with setting everything up?"

Bakura shook his head. "Hiruma-kun did it all himself. Pretty amazing, ne?" he smiled, reaching for a second anpan. "A castle, huh? Aaaa, must be nice!"

Helios looks around again and nods with a smile. "Yes it is nice. It's, um, d-different. Most of my students are always speculative when I tell them about it." A laugh, "I can't really blame them though!"

And here Helios will clear his throat before looking back over at Bakura. "B-But I, ah, I-I should probably leave, shouldn't I?" Entering unannounced into a person's home is totally not like Helios at all. He might even look apologetic when he says that.

Bakura blinked. "Why?" he asked, curious. "Have somewhere to be?"

Helios looks a bit sheepish. "N-No I just...y-your friend probably won't be all that pleased t-to have a stranger in his house. E-Especially unannounced as I was." Though Helios has an inclining feeling that this is a dream and nothing more than that. He's not sure how to really bring up such a matter to the other though.

Bakura laughed a bit at that. "Aaa, no, no, it's not his house, it's his building! It's apartments!" he assured with a warm smile. "The Mancave is for everyone to use."

"This entire building is his..." Helios sounds awed at that. He smiles back at Bakura though from the reassurance.

"Ah. I-If you're certain. I-I certainly wouldn't mind looking around. If-if that's alright that is."

The entire building and the football field behind it! It's amazing what blackmail can get you.

"Of course it's all right, why wouldn't it be?"

Amazing indeed. Helios smiles awkwardly, shrugging as he does so.

"I apologize. I-I'm just not used to, ah, happening upon people's homes like this is all." Not used to being welcomed so readily either. It's a funny thing because Helios is completely open and hospitable towards people. You would think he would be used to such actions taken but it manages to take him by surprise even now. Still he takes another anpan with a smile.

"Well if you're certain. I-I can't say no. I do love to look around new places after all."

Bakura nodded. "Being able to have people over... it's a really nice thing." Especially when no one wound up in a coma afterward! "One of the reasons I really love this place, everyone's near by, and those who aren't can come over any time they'd like."

"It certainly is. Having friends and the like over just to enjoy the evening or anything like that is always nice." A smile as he nods.

"Mm it must be nice having everyone close by like that. Though I don't mind traveling when it comes to visiting friends either."
