Action: but you never tire of dreams
Characters: Any willing dreamers
Open? Yes
Where: In your minds
When: After the party
What: Part two of the dream plot!
Warnings:
The party went on, with the beast's head on display. A proud, twisted thing. Behind false ruby eyes, it waited. And as the music became slower and the wine less plentiful, it waited still.
Those who had gazed upon it at the ball. Those who had seen it once living in the forest. All heroes who dared to look upon its face and dream still that they would be able to live another day...
There are all sorts of ways of living. In waking. In sleep. Perhaps, now, they would find one in between.
(ooc: Feel free to keep tagging into the party post! Once your characters go home and go to sleep of their own accord, that is when the dreaming will begin. Remember, it is up to you to set up what kind of world your character is trapped in and how best to help them. Plotting post is here, make use of it!
The beast's power will wane once the bulk of the dreamers have escaped his curse. If your character was not at the party but you still want to involve them in the dream plot, that is fine! They can either help get people out or have seen the beast wandering in the woods before it was killed and have caught its attention that way.

But then a red headed girl stands up. She focuses her eyes on the space where the barrier is impeding them and starts gesturing in the air, murmuring in a garbled version of Latin.
Fortunately, the coffin lid proves to be cheap plywood. It swings up with a bit of help from his magic, and Giles is revealed inside, shaken and scared and disoriented. After several deep breaths, he stares wildly up at Bakura.
"You..."

Then he sees the girls, sees Willow fighting Bakura's own magic, and Giles looks ready to kill. He flings himself forward, but is stopped by the barrier from the other side. Undeterred, Giles simply resumes tryng to beat his way through, as he had the walls of his coffin.

No. No there was no way that...

"Let me out."
So this'll be the 3rd time he's had to "cure"/end an undead version of one of his friends. Poor kid.
It'd happened again and he was going to have to--
His hands tensed, the white glow starting to build up more around him.
"...I can't do that."
Poor kid T_T. Giles will thank him later.
"Magic," he growls. This time its Bakura he goes for, aiming a sharp roundhouse blow at the boy's face.

But even as he hoped it... he knew it wouldn't. He didn't have the soul to transfer back...
The barrier holding the mourners back fades as Bakura's attention focuses on the man before him, eyes closing as the glow of his magic around him starts to become blinding.
"I'm sorry..." The words are almost a whisper before he flings his hand out, energy rushing forward.
"PURIFY!"

"I'm sorry..." he near whispers again. Even with the magic of a White Mage... he couldn't always save his friends.
And he hated it.

"I'm not."
Then it fades, vanishes into the ether, and Bakura truly is alone. The silence stretches on until it's broken by the sound of a gate opening with an almighty creak of rusty iron. Looking up will reveal that the cemetery gates have indeed opened, seemingly of their own accord. The town beyond is peaceful, safe, and quiet, lit by the faint rosy glow of sunrise.
