Has anyone seem Koma today? I was thinking of trying my hand at these spinning wheels, and I wondered if she might want the yarn. [ BECAUSE CATS LIKE TO PLAY WITH YARN GET IT GET IT? ] Do let her know if you see her. Or if anyone else would like it, you're welcome as well.

Would anyone like to come spin with me? [ It's all the rage this... day. ]

Are you going to try making a sweater? Some other lady mentioned she would be using her yarn for that once she had spun some.

Oh! That sounds like a great idea. Perhaps she would be willing to teach me?

She might, you should ask her when you are in town. The lady lives in a small house near the bakery.

Why the sudden interest in yarn making?

Oh, I don't know. I was bored, I suppose, and someone suggested it.

I was wondering since so many people seem to have decided to take it up as a hobby today.

Oh yes, it seems to have become quite popular in town. I haven't a clue how it started, though.

At least this seems like a harmless enough hobby.

I could certainly use a hobby! I find there's so little to occupy me here.

As much as I like birds, they don't make for very good company.

Having completed a day's wandering Eagle returned to the village that sat just outside of the castle walls. It had been a while since he had seen the place but it really didn't look like it had changed at all.

What to look at first? Well, he might as well see how Princess Tatra's yarn spinning had gone.

She tried her hand at spinning in a little barn; the wheel just showed up, out of the blue, in the very center. In fact there was a small crowd when she started. It went on for a while before she drifted off, slumping over in her chair.

The woman who was teaching her simply had her husband drag her over to a pile of hay and went about her business.

Eagle had checked the house first, the logical spot for a spinning lesson he thought, but he was surprised to find himself directed to the barn instead. It was even more of a shock, though a touch endearing, to see Princess Tatra laying in the hay fast asleep. She must have worked so hard at it that she needed a little nap.

Eagle walked over to where the Princess was laying and gently shook her arm.

"It looks like you found a cozy place to take a nap."

She didn't move, didn't make any sign that she had heard him. Her breath was shallow and she lay eerily still.

Sleeping like a log, taken to bizarre new heights.

"Princess Tatra?"

This was quite a nap! If even shaking her wouldn't wake her then what would?

"Princess Tatra, shouldn't you wake up now?"

Nothing. Houston is not responding, we have a communications black-out. She just lay there, dead to the world.

There was still no response and Eagle was beginning to worry. Even if she did look so peaceful and sweet napping there she didn't seem to be able to wake up.

He nearly left in order to look for a Doctor but something compelled him to stay. Eagle didn't know why a sudden feeling or instinct seemed to take over then. Without thinking he leaned in close and gave the sleeping Princess a soft kiss.

"Hmm?" She started to stir, and for a very long moment she thought she must be dreaming. And really, such a dream! But no, it was definitely Eagle and he was definitely right there.

She blinked, and blushed.

Only when she moved did Eagle end the kiss. He stared blankly down at her until what actually happened dawned on him as well.
He had kissed her?!

Eagle's cheeks colored slightly as well. It was an embarrassing situation to find oneself in.

"I'm sorry. I have no idea why I... "

She covered her mouth as she continued to blink at him. Believe it or not, that was her first kiss. And she had been asleep for it! Hadn't she?

"Was I sleeping?" She didn't feel like she was sleeping. She looked around the barn, feeling quite lost and un-rested.

"You were and for some reason you didn't seem able to wake up."

Of course that didn't explain why he had kissed her but he didn't understand that either.

She frowned. As odd that it was that Eagle might be kissing her while she was asleep, her loss of consciousness was equally confusing.

"Strange," she said, pulling a piece of hay out of her hair, "I don't remember falling asleep. And what are you doing here, anyway?"

"I thought I would come and see how your yarn spinning was going since I was back in town anyway."

The other part had been entirely unplanned!

"You really don't remember falling asleep?"
