Um, does anyone know if there's a Mages' Guild here...? I mean, I've had a little training [...she can shoot fireballs reliably now, that counts as training, and also she might be able to do a little telekinesis now? TOTALLY COUNTS] but they kind of seem to be expecting me to do some more [she wiggles her fingers], you know, impressive stuff, and I hadn't gotten to that yet...

It means 'demon-cat'. When a cat attains a certain level of power they can shift their form to become more human.

Not that I know of? Most of my people look sort of like me, I guess, and I don't think they change forms either... though I haven't met a lot of them outside my family. I'm a Khaijit.

Koma shifts forms for the orb so this new arrival will see she isn't lying. She can't actually speak in this form so it is a temporary change but 'hi there'. ]

[The Japanese terms might be a little difficult for some one who isn't from Japan to understand so she does try to explain a little more. ]

In Japan there are two worlds, the human world and the spiritual world. Youkai come from the spiritual world and can do things like shape-shifting.

Since we were pulled into a book I don't think Schwanheim is anywhere near Japan.

You said you were a mage? Did you always have those powers?

Well, I guess I've always had magic powers? Although I didn't know I did until recently. They tested me when I was little and I came up negative, but apparently my birth sign means that I don't generate my own magicka like normal. I don't really get it, but it's sort of nice to have something to be proud about for once at least.
