Orb post - morning on the 10th (intro)
[Her hair is frazzled – enough to suggest that she’s lost, stressed, vulnerable; not enough to make her ugly, unsympathetically bedraggled. She wants to look innocent, harmless, deserving of good will. She ducks her head, smiles shyly. The view behind her is lovely, a wide blue sky and a distant view from the river. She's outside on one of the castle towers, perched nimbly on the edge of the wall.]
I can barely believe all this is happening. I mean – last thing I knew my brother was off to college, and now I’m in some kind of magic kingdom?
[Her disbelief isn’t too strident, just a little shaken, good-naturedly self-deprecating about her own adjustment.]
It’s probably not as different as it seems right now. I mean, human nature is the same everywhere, right?
[A smile, as though that's a good thing. There. She’s established herself as sensible and open-minded. People from a world similar to hers will think she's normal enough, thanks to the lie about college. Even better, if there's anyone here who looks down on humans like mutants do, maybe some of them will be arrogant enough and offended enough at being lumped together with them to reveal themselves by correcting her assumption.]

Oh shucks, looks like mine got left at home. You wouldn't happen to know where they keep the spares around here, would you?
no subject
I do not understand what corn has to do with weaponry, but there are plenty of capable blacksmiths in town. Do you have resources with which to arm yourself?
no subject
I, uh. Don't have a lot of experience with medieval-type weapons. Any recommendations on what I should start with?
no subject
Something light. You do not cut a very imposing figure, which can be used to your advantage.
no subject
And easily hidden?
no subject
[To Sif's credit, she does try and mask her distaste at the prospect. On Asgard, to hide one's weapons is seen as shameful. She carries her own like a badge of honor.
But she is not a young girl with no way around a sword.]
If you are unsure of what to buy, I can offer my assistance.
no subject
It's...it wasn't something I ever would have done at home.
no subject
Can you find the castle gates?
no subject
[Not offended. Just curious.]
Sure!
no subject
[Yeah they really do talk like that.]
But, as I am ever reminded, this is not Asgard. I will start towards the gate now.
What is your name?
no subject
Maybe when I know my way around one better I'll try my hand at making something.
[The background blurs from sky to walls behind her as she moves through the castle toward the gate as well.]
I'm Anya Lehnsherr.

[It's a compromise she has reached. Her earned title to those trapped here, her bestowed title to those that ask her to be a prince.]
I will meet you soon, Anya Lehnsherr.
