[The little lady is finally making use of her little orb, but if the frown on her face is any indication she'd not using it happily. The room she's in looks suspiciously like one from the monastery. ]

I don't care if I get caught again I'm not staying here. It's boring. I would have rather been sent to jail. [She wouldn't actually, she's just sore she got caught in the first place.]

All I took was some bread. If who ever brought me here didn't want me to take things, they shouldn't have left me here without any money.

Indeed.

A clever girl would evaluate her situation. You are alone here, with little resources. They are willing to see to it that you have food and board.

That I stay and be obey their rules. I don't know them well enough to want to sleep here. [Which is the heart of it; she's rather distrustful of staying with anyone she doesn't know.]

Here is my suggestion, Gretel. Do not give them your trust. But give them a week. Tell them that you are under the protection of Prince Sif, for they have made me a prince here. Tell them that I have a very impressive collection of weapons and no hesitancy towards publicly gutting a man of the cloth, should he harm a child.

In a week's time, I will ride for the monastery myself, to inspect that all is well. If it isn't, we will proceed from there. Does that sound acceptable to you?

[halfwitch]

[brosif]

I do not break promises made to young girls alone in strange places.

[Some part of her wants to be giddy at that, a real prince (even if it is a woman) wanting to help her, but distrust has been heavily ingrained in her by now.]<./small>

Truly, nothing. But I do not ask you to believe that. I know I wouldn't have, at your age.

[halfwitch]

[That's a more satisfying answer than she'd been given yet, since everyone else wanted to pretend that she should just trust their word. Because of that, she nods.]
