[The little lady is finally making use of her little orb, but if the frown on her face is any indication she'd not using it happily. The room she's in looks suspiciously like one from the monastery. ]

I don't care if I get caught again I'm not staying here. It's boring. I would have rather been sent to jail. [She wouldn't actually, she's just sore she got caught in the first place.]

All I took was some bread. If who ever brought me here didn't want me to take things, they shouldn't have left me here without any money.

I can hardly teach you if you're being imprisoned all the time. I'll just have to feed you, won't I?

I wouldn't be a very good teacher if I didn't.

For you to do well.

[halfwitch]

That's not much of a pay off. Most people want something for helping someone.

Consider it my lot in life. It's reward enough to see a young girl learn to take her own place in the world.

[Gretel nods, biting her lip.] Okay.

When are you coming back?

[shorterinperson]

Tomorrow. It won't be too much longer.

[halfwitch]

[She nods.] I'll be waiting in town. I'm not going to stay here tonight.
