The field between the castle and the East bridge has been decked out, tall poles with flowing bright colored cloth, tables full of food and drink, a stage where performers play cheerful and mostly on key tunes that can be almost heard over the din of so many voices talking and laughing. There's a large area full of dancing couples, whirling skirts and brightly colored jackets mingling freely.

Any empty hands will be either pulled in to dance or given a large flagon of ale to join in the revelry. Come, eat, drink, dance and forget the cares of the world outside the town's walls!

Momiji's not afraid of fangirls, and thus he does dare to get closer. Actually he was just trying to get to the other side of the dance altogether, but instead found himself facing the Prince. No matter, with Tony gone he could use some else to talk to.

"'Ello?"

The Prince pauses giving a small smile. "Come to dance...?" he asks, offering his hand.

The crowd of fangirls swells with cries of protests and yaoi fangasms at the offer before the Prince, holds a finger to his lips to quiet them, red eyes glittering slightly.

He looks down at the hand, ignoring the girl's cries, and shrugs. "Okay." He took the hand.

Very easily the Prince pulled Momiji into a simple dance, taking the lead and making it easy for the teen to follow his steps. "You're different than the rest here...."

Momiji follows, stumbling slightly. He glances around and smiles. "Because I'm a guy?"

There was a soft laugh. "There is more of a light in your eyes and a strength in your heart than of all those here," he corrected, voice smooth and even as he slows to match Momiji's pacing.

He giggled. "And how can you tell that? I don't think we've ever met."

[me_and_only_me]

"There is a scent that a pure heart gives off, like the fragrance of a flower in full bloom." There was almost a hungry look in the Prince's eyes at that moment before he continued. "It's something that cannot be hidden and that shows in every action."

"You can smell hearts? That's kind of weird." He made a face but didn't pull away. Heck, he used to hang out with aliens. He was used to weird.

"Not like you would smell something with your nose," he corrected gently, sweeping the teen into a low dip before pulling him back up.

The dip was a bit much for his liquor addled brain and once he was righted, he had to take a moment to stop his head from spinning. "Then how?"

"It's a smell that you can sense... Like the flutter of your heart before you fall in love at first sight."

Momiji laughed for lack of know how to respond. "That's a strange way to put it."

"Matters of the heart are often strange."

"I don't think they're all that strange, really."

[me_and_only_me]

"Really? A master of the affairs of the heart at such a young age?"

"Not really a master, but I think I know a few things."
