Come dance away the night with me~

Characters: Any and all!
Open? Yes!
Where: Castle grounds by the East Bridge
When: Evening of the 9th of Rebirth's Height
What: The Height Moon celebration

The field between the castle and the East bridge has been decked out, tall poles with flowing bright colored cloth, tables full of food and drink, a stage where performers play cheerful and mostly on key tunes that can be almost heard over the din of so many voices talking and laughing. There's a large area full of dancing couples, whirling skirts and brightly colored jackets mingling freely.

Any empty hands will be either pulled in to dance or given a large flagon of ale to join in the revelry. Come, eat, drink, dance and forget the cares of the world outside the town's walls!

"Nice to meet you. I've done a lot of business in Japan... But it's been a while since I went there." It was definitely interesting all the types of people here. No one seemed to be from the same place. "Is it just me or is this a catch all place for every parallel universe in existence?" Maybe that was a little deep even for him with a genius level mind. "What do you think of it thus far?"

"Where are you from then?" He looked like he was from somewhere European or the Americas, but Momiji couldn't be sure. After all, he himself often got confused for being a foreigner in his own homeland. "It seems like it and it's not too bad I guess. It's really confusing though and kind of old world, you know? At least the last place had refrigerators."

"Born in Long Island, New York. Residing in Malibu, California." He answered it pretty easily even if he rather disliked the first half. "It's more like a personal hell for me." He laughed in spite of the comment. "I made my living off of technology. Coming here was worse than clipping a bird's wings. But I'm sure I'll adapt." He had no doubt of that. He always did. He lived in a cave for three months as a prisoner... he could survive here. Sending him a grin, he winked. "Better get used to hot drinks and far too salty meat."

"Oh, sorry." Momiji murmured. "But you're right. I think we'll all adapt fine. We don't really have any other choice."

He grinned. "It sounds better than some people I know's cooking."

"It's fine. I'm good at rolling with the punches." He didn't mean to upset the kid. It was more just him talking too much. He did that a lot. "You're pretty positive. I think you make a better prince than I do." Truth. He wanted to know who thought it would be funny to make him nobility.

"Well... guess it's better than my own cooking. I figure if I'd paid attention in chemistry, I might have been better at cooking." But he didn't want to be a chemist so he only learned enough to make his engineering skills better.
whatmuttiforgot: Momiji and Tohru, laughing. Focus on Momiji. An uncolored icon. (Laughing)

Momiji ducked his head, blushing slightly in embarrassment. "I'm not supposed to be a prince. Um, they want me to be a princesses."

"I don't know about that. I know some really smart people who do well in science who can't even microwave something right." He's seen his cousin's cooking. As intelligent as he thought the boy was, he wouldn't wish those dishes on his enemies.
legacyofiron: (Just great...)

"Oh? Interesting." No matter what the degree of 'adorable' was on the young man, that was a bit cruel. Least in his mind. But then, that was him and his rigid ego talking.

"You think so? I blew the microwave up once. But that was because I got distracted trying to improve it." Which ended in too much output and things not being able to handle it. He'd been banned from the kitchen for that. "Does that mean you're a pretty good cook?"

"Not really. It's kind of embarrassing." He didn't mind cross dressing, so the poofy princess dress hadn't been all that distressing for him, but being put in a female role didn't quite sit well with him.

"I can cook okay. No one seemed to mind when I cooked, anyway." The kids he'd watched in Cydonia had never complained about it, but he realized that could just as well do with the short food supply and the lack of other options. "I would usally just eat whatever the servants made back home, honestly. They were better than me at it."
legacyofiron: (Aren't I adorable?)

"I thought that, but I wasn't going to say it. They won't... you know... dress you up like a girl, right? Cause I would stage a coup over that." Shuddering to himself, he just knew he'd make a terrible woman. And Momiji had the almost effeminate look, but he was definitely male.

"Maybe you can show me sometime?" He canted his head to the side a little at the thought. Maybe he could figure that out and be a little more helpful here since really... he wasn't nearly half the hero he was without the armor. "I tended to eat out a lot back home." Hopefully he wouldn't burn any huts or houses down, right?

"They put me in a dress when I first got here." Though at the time he'd been in enough of a panic not to care all that much about it. "I ditched it when I could."

He grinned. "If you'd like! I can't promise to teach you anything fancy, but I don't mind showing you what I know."
