Alanna left for the thorns a good while before the rest of the group in order to catch up with Eagle Vision, outfitted with a sword, several light knives, an axe and the smallest suit of armor she could find. None of the leather gear at the castle fit her, or she would have much preferred that.

Intent on meeting with the rest of the group before beginning her investigations, Alanna waits with her horse at the village nearby where they had talked about meeting.
