This had been very different. Maybe it was how things were different in this place, but there had been a drained feeling almost the moment Loki had started, as his consciousness tried to follow where his magic was going. It was like trying to read Egyptian, the symbols not having meaning, despite having familiar shapes, only with something just not right to it. His magic wasn't designed for this sort of destruction, not when he himself was only curious and wanting to contain it. But he had already given his will to follow Loki's magic and couldn't run counter to it.
When the gem shattered he gave a small cry, knocked back to where his father was waiting in the sudden storm of grey as the consciousness that had been following the magic snapped back to him abruptly like a slap.
So there had been someone lurking inside...? Not good...!
