Warnings: Should be safe, but Anya can be a hideous person. If anything comes up, I'll edit to warn here and on the thread.

After getting her new knives with Sif, Anya sets out to explore her new surroundings. She meets Tatra in the tearoom, pours through the oddly limited volumes in the library, and wanders cheerfully around the castle and the town.

She's curious about - well, everything, about the history of the kingdom and omg dragons really and what sorts of things are the 'heroes' supposed to do, but she's charming and gracious and delighted to listen to anyone willing to spend time with her, never prying too hard or peppering with too many questions.
halfwitch: little girl in a sweater looking content (And I will keep us together.)

She'd flat out told the monks they couldn't make her stay during the day, promise to Sif or no, and the second she'd scarfed down breakfast she'd headed straight for the castle to try to snoop for information. Gretel had made a deal with that strange spy lady and if she was going to get her candy she'd have to do the work first. She'd been sneaking around the hallways all day with little to show for it, so by the time she heard footsteps coming down the hall she was more than ready for something interesting. She hide around a corner, peeping out to stare at Anya and trying (though failing) to stay still and not make any noise.
halfwitch: little girl looking to the right neutrally (I'm a pretty good listener)

Pouting that she'd been caught, Gretel slide out from her hiding space to stand in the middle of the hall.

"What are you doing?"
halfwitch: little girl making faces (You say funny things)

"Looking for something interesting." She replied, rocking on her heels. "What are you exploring for?"
halfwitch: little girl resting her chin on the back of a chair, listening (You're wise beyond your years)

She scowled. "Not really. For a kingdom, this place is pretty boring. I have seen anything really interesting since that bean stalk grew."
halfwitch: little girl, hands and chin on a table, looking expectant (Teach me)

"Some guy was giving stuff away to kids. He gave me some beans, which I thought were boring, so I threw them out. And then they grew into a big bean stalk. Just like in the old story."
halfwitch: close up of the little girl's eye (I see more than you thought)

"I think so. Some of the adults went to look." She shrugged. "I didn't."
halfwitch: little girl talking (There's something I need to say)

"There's a forest, it makes weird noises at night. I think there's beasts or something in there. Um, and a monastery but it's kind of boring. There's lot's of little places in town to shops and meet people, but it's not a very big town."
halfwitch: little girl, made up (Even I like to dress up)

She smiles at that. "I'm Gretel. I can use magic. I'm a..." She trailed off, biting her lip. A good a time as any to get used to what Loki has dubbed her. "A sorceress."
halfwitch: little girl, neutrally talking (So many conversations to have)

"All sorts. Simple stuff like cleaning or making things warm. And I can do stuff for fighting too."
